How we serve you
Specialized guidance
Our work begins by gaining a detailed understanding of each nonprofit’s mission and needs.
We assess investment policy statements (IPS), operating budgets, strategic plans and other unique circumstances. We also consider various asset pools that may have differing objectives.
To identify the risk and returns arising from assets, liabilities and cash flows, our specialist portfolio analytics team provides customized assessments to enhance financial planning.
Using our own methodology, we develop a strategic asset allocation for each client that can assist in preserving, balancing and growing portfolios over time.
Based on our Global Investment Committee’s guidance, we then tactically adjust this long-term plan to seek to capture potential shorter-term market opportunities and mitigate risks.
Extensive, thoroughly vetted opportunities
Having understood each nonprofit’s goals and needs, we help put customized investment plans into action.
We enable nonprofits to populate portfolios with suitable opportunities, combining efficient diversification with cost effectiveness.
Our investments platform spans strategies across traditional and alternative asset classes, from both our own discretionary managers and external managers selected by our specialist research teams.
It also embraces structured products and market-linked investments.
To maintain portfolio alignment with goals and other considerations, we then perform daily monitoring and benchmarking.
Education and training
At the start of each relationship, we work closely with the client’s board and staff to create a personalized education plan.
Among the topics we cover are asset allocation, asset class reviews, portfolio implementation, governance, fundraising and grant-making.
We also host events to connect nonprofit leaders to come together to share best practices and explore trending issues.
